Include error status in monthly log

Post by KarlS »

Hi Steve:

First of all Merry Christmas to you (and a Happy New Year in a few days)!

I don't know if it has been asked before, but is it possible to include the current error status with the weather data in the montly log files. I store all the data Cumulus reports in a MySQL data base and for analysis purposes I need an indicator if the data entered might be invalid (for example when station communication is lost over a longer time).

It could be just 0 for "no errors" and 1 for "errors occured during the last logging period". However, it could also include more detailed information like:

0 - no error
1 - Station communication lost
2 - FTP upload error
4 - USB error
8 - ....

Yes, it would be possible to include something like that. If you want to create an enhancement request, then it won't get forgotten, and I can consider it for inclusion along with all the other requests when I next look at adding some more facilities.
