I have found a Website
www.rhylweather.co.uk I thought with it being so close to my location
is there anyway it can be found via this site as it is powered by Cumulus.
It would be useful to me even it was to compare notes.

Hi Geoff,
I don't understand what you are trying to do. Do you mean access this stations data through Cumulus? If so, then no.
Hope this helps...

Hi Will I was hoping to be able to contact the owner even better if he was on the forum
if he was reading the threads on here, There is no links to the forum on there site or any
other contact details.
Cheers Will

Hi Geoff,
His station latitude and longitude is shown on his home page as N 53° 19' 16", E 03° 28' 48". That should be W of course, not east.
The station location is near Splash Point and using Google Maps here is the approximate location.

I did check if he uploads to WUnderground but he doesn't. That could have narrowed down his precise location.

And [Address removed] is on the map I pasted so Geoff has all the info he needs. Good detective work water01!

I am a little concerned that although all info is in the public domain, an "innocent" is having their details outed regardless of whether they are available for contact or not

Yes, I can relate to that, and It has to be said, that he or she, as a Cumulus user would be well aware of this forum, if they wanted to communicate with like minded weather enthusiasts. I'm sure Geoff will take that into account.
One of the most sinister outcomes of the development of the internet is loss of privacy and the prying of busy bodies and government agencies. I for one would never expose myself to facebook, twitter, or any of those types of media. It's bad enough giving out my grid reference, but that is a fair price to pay for sharing my hobby.
So I respect this persons privacy, and that should be paramount in a situation like this. I think any unsolicited contact could well spook him or her and It may best be left for natural circumstances, (like communicating on here first), before adhoc soirees between strangers is initiated by one party.
Regards KF

I entered my own domain name into that website curious about what information was available about me. My name and address is not visible but I honestly don't remember how the process went when I registered. I'm okay about showing my location on a small Google map on my web page.

Yes, I was wondering about deleting the thread, even though as you say the information is available elsewhere anyway. I just feel a little uncomfortable about this.

In my opinion it's not ethic to spread adress detail on this forum , it's accesible by everybody if somebody want to spread his adress by him or herself it's another case ofcourse.
