Agree with removing the address from this thread.

A word to the wise... as a private individual when registering a domain name you have the option to NOT have your personal details made available, I suggest everyone uses that option. This does not apply to commercial registrations.

Of course the obvious contact to try would be: enquiry @ rhylweather.co.uk :o

Such rhetoric ! (In reference to now deleted post above)

Surely it ends with commonsense and respect for an individual ?

When you introduce yourself to someone you do not immediately inform them of your blood group, financial / credit status, your last fling - although in England you might dive straight into your medical history.

We all censor / edit information - that is how we cope with the sheer volume of everyday input. (and not being boring)

But how do we know with any certainty that the owner of that domain didn't want his address in the public domain? There seems to be an assumption that he (or she) just missed the option to hide it. Perhaps they didn't.

You are confusing censorship and editing. The fact that the information is available elsewhere doesn't give you the right to post it here. The information you posted is copyright. Apart from the fact that posting it here was just plain rude.

And as you've referred to the forum T&C, I'll point out this bit:

"You agree that “Sandaysoft” have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit."

If you don't like it, start your own forum and allow anyone to post anything they like, illegal, immoral or otherwise, but don't get all high and mighty with me. I don't have time for this.

I'm sorry if this has started any trouble, I'm sure Steve has not got the time or the energy to be dealing with this now
all I wanted really was to find out if he was on the forum or not I am not likely to go knocking at his door.

If Steve feels it now needs to be taken off that's for him to decide as if it was not for him and Cumulus none of us would
be hear.

Sorry don't agree as this amounts to censorship of the web, something I will always fight for strongly. This information was made freely available when the individual registered his domian and he chose the option to reveal his address but anybody can find it simply by doing a WhoIs on the domain.

Since my post has been censored I will make no further comment, but I do not believe it the place of any forum owner to act as an arbiter of what should and should not be be posted unless it contrary to rules under which the forum allows registration, and there is no mention of this in the registration script. Where does it end, you do not like my views so you censor this post because they are contrary to them.
I'm sorry, but anyone with a modicum of commonsense would realise that it was inappropriate for a full name and address to be published on here. We have no idea whether or not this lady or gentleman gave permission for this. Certainly, when I registered by phone, there was no mention that full detail was available for all to see, and wasn't given an option. I've since checked with my host, and as it happens they say only my name is available. This can be remedied, but with considerable messing about. Let me tell you, if you have never experienced stalking, it is absolutely horrendous for the victim. Prime information like name and address are the magical jigsaw pieces for the trollers/stalkers to cause misery for others.

This is a weather forum for weather enthusiasts for godsake. It has an owner! Thank god he will censor and protect an individuals highly personal and private information. Too much of our personal life is already monitored by 'others'.

Water01: an opinion should be the result of a thought process, not the substitution of a thought process.

Saying what you think and having that deleted is censorship.
Finding and quoting my address is not 'saying what you think'. Having that deleted is therefore, by definition, not censorship.

If you do not understand the difference, my opinion is that you should not be licensed to use an internet connection.
