Request to test UK Met Office Weather Widget

I've used the UK Met Office's Weather Widget on my website for over two years but when I try to choose a different city it won't work. I've raised the issue with the Met Office but they report it works okay for them.
Can I ask you to test it please and report back if it works or not and what OS you're using. It doesn't work for me using XP SP3.
Click on my banner link below which will take you to my home page. Scroll down to the Widget and at bottom-right choose Options. Type another UK city and press OK. Does it change? Also, can you see language options in Options? English and Welsh are two two available. All I see is a small blank box.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Mark. In layman's terms could you tell me what the problem is and how to fix it?

Not really, the widget is loaded into an iframe sourced from the met. office. The problem is in it accessing your site for 'something' which isn't allowed either in javascript or Flash - the widget seems to use both, as well as some tracking code - cross-domain access via code is very restricted, for good reason. Digging to the bottom of it could take some considerable time.

Thanks Mark. I'm going to generate the widget code again and paste it in. if that doesn't fix it I'll go back to the Met Office.
What OS are you using? And just to confirm it didn't work for you either?

Mark,
I'm sorry to come back to you but you never actually confirmed if it worked for you or not.
I've found Neil's site in Sussex also uses the widget and it doesn't work for me either so it's nothing to do with my website.

I'm running Firefox 17.0.1 on XP SP3. Appreciate if someone with that combo could confirm if either widgets work.

Mark / Kevin,
Thanks for confirming. I've had replies from the Met Office and they are checking things. Makes you wonder what OS and browser they used to check it was okay for them.
It can't be a XP problem or specific to once browser. Doesn't work with Chrome, IE8 or Firefox. Hopefully news by tomorrow.

Could be they tested on their server - so didn't see the cross-domain problems.

It's been like it for a few weeks now .. this is a problem with the widget itself, nothing we can do.

Well we can bring it to their attention which is what I've done. No replies from them today but hopefully they're looking into it and a fix will be forthcoming soon hopefully.

That's what i meant, nothing we can do until they fix it. I mentioned this weeks ago to them so now this thread has come up i've Tweeted them, this is the reply i got ..
With the weather widget, an option when configuring it, is y or n to a fixed location. http://bit.ly/V3vQWe ^SRB
They're idiots!

I emailed them and had replies from two members of staff. I hope I get a better response than you did.
