How is the wind rose generated? What data is used? I ask this because i am in the process of replacing all gauges with generation on the fly. This will save bandwidth.
At the moment i am using the wind direction data but i am guessing the speed data would need to be attached. Thanks.

Re: Windrose
It uses the last 3600 readings of wind speed and direction (the associated web tags are <#wspddata> and <#wdirdata>. For a Fine Offset station that's equivalent to the last 10 hours of 'live' running. The length of the line in each of the 16 compass directions is proportional to the sum of wind speeds in that direction.

Re: Windrose
ok so, if the direction is 225 16 times the wind rose is plotted as such so it just counts and adds. Interesting. when i plot it , it doesn't turn out. Obviously i have the maths wrong.
edit: maths wrong, need to figure that out.
