Re: Reset Last 24hr figure
The easiest solution is just to leave it and let it fix itself. If you don't want to do that, you need to stop Cumulus and edit the 'total rain counter' field in Dec12log.txt. Look at the latest value that your new station is supplying, and edit the old ones back to 24 hours ago to have the same value. Make sure you edit the correct field, it's the 12th entry in each line, the one just after the pressure (which is easy to spot if you use mb/hPa).

Re: Reset Last 24hr figure
Hi Steve
It settled down lovely and had rain yesterday and all the figures running like a dream, apart from one !!
If I go to view Highs and Lows and look at monthly under December rainfall its put ytd off 565mm and climbing is there anywhere i can amend this figure.
Thanks again for all your help.

Hi there,
In Cumulus, go to..."Edit"..."Monthly records"..click "Dec" at the top then click "Fetch dayfile data" at the bottom. Then go down to the record that is incorrect...click on the right and click "Copy".
Hope this helps...

Re: Reset Last 24hr figure
The monthly and annual totals are calculated from the daily totals in dayfile.txt, so if I understand you correctly, you need to correct one or more of this month's daily totals to correct your December figure (and then restart Cumulus). You'll need to do that before carrying out the procedure suggested in the previous post, as otherwise it will simply fetch the existing record.NoelGlass wrote:If I go to view Highs and Lows and look at monthly under December rainfall its put ytd off 565mm and climbing is there anywhere i can amend this figure.

Re: Reset Last 24hr figure
Hi
I think we are at cross purposes here, I will try and make it more clear.
First my Dayfile.txt is fine and correct.
If i go View, High and Lows, monthly then click Dec and then the rainfall tab ( screen like New records )
How can I alter this figure.
Thanks Again

Re: Reset Last 24hr figure
Sorry - you said the figure was climbing so I assumed that your current month's total was incorrect and similarly climbing. If that's not the case, then you just need to do as William suggests.NoelGlass wrote:First my Dayfile.txt is fine and correct.
