Ambient WS-2080 not transmitting Data

Hi
I had an issue where Cumulus was saying my WS stopped transmitting data. The batteries were fresh about 2 weeks old, I tried switching USB ports and no luck, I closed and reopened Cumulus and rebooted computer no luck. I checked for a newer version of Cumulus and downloaded it and still the issue remained. The station was communicating with my console but not Cumulus. When I opened Cumulus the "Downloading Data" box appeared yet did nothing. It would remian on the screen and would not allow me to access any of the configuration settings etc.
I had a similar problem about two weeks ago that said check connections which I did, all appeared fine. It was then that I decided to change the batteries in the WS and the console. After I did this I was up and running again.
So as a last resort today I removed the batteries from my console and rebooted and the connection to Cumulus; my issue was resolved. Hope this helps someone.
PS
Im new to this , not technolgoically savvy, and have never posted, before so I'm not sure this is in the correct location.
