Weird readings

Post by cohan15 »

I have been noticing over the last few days that cumulus is reading weird reading. I have been getting low dew point, temps, and high wind readings. It has not done this before and was wondering if there was a fix to this.

It's not uncommon for Fine Offset stations to do this, and there are a number of causes; see many threads in the forum about this. When did you last change the batteries in the transmitter?

If the bad readings are one off 'spikes', you can get Cumulus to attempt to ignore them by using the spike removal settings on the calibration screen.

I just changed battery's a few weeks ago when I cleaned the rain gauge. The readings for temps have around -1.7 and dew points from 4%-15%.

If they're not one-off spikes, then I suspect that your sensor is failing.
