Cumulus upload whole mamory data every time it is started

Post by Mark14 »

I wanted do my meteo station 24/7 on-line. So I plugged the station to the terminal Fujitsu Futro A250 where I installed Cumulus and changed files in "data" folder with my previous data from my laptop (from August). Once I opened Cumulus message was shown that I have wrong floating point symbol - it was , I turned it to . I started Cumulus again and whole memory data (4080 records) was uploaded. But not only once. Each time I opened the Cumulus the whole memory was uploading.

In today.ini file timestamp is correct, e.g. 04:23 2012-12-03

Interestingly, earlier this day I have initialization error and I have to reset my station (I took out the batteries for a few minutes). But still when I plugged the station whole data in memory was uploading to the terminal (here CF card acts as hard drive). By the way, wrong record was added to the memory - rain = 9.1 mm. But when I connected it to my laptop everything worked OK. Only the newest records was uploaded. I don't know it matters but on the laptop there is WIN 7, on the terminal WIN XP Pro SP3.

What can I do to solve the problem whole memory data uploading each time? Could you help me?

I'm attaching DIAGS folder. Can you see the reason? What should I do?

Your system date format is:

12-12-03 17:37:55.882 : Short date format: 12-12-03

As it's December 2012, it's hard to say what that format is, but I'd guess yy-mm-dd

The timestamp in your today.ini file is

12-12-03 17:37:58.155 : Read today file: Date = 12-12-03, LastUpdateTime = 03-12-12 16:15:27

which looks like dd-mm-yy, but as your system format is yy-mm-dd, Windows thinks that is 12th Dec 2003, so Cumulus is trying to download the data since then.

So your date format is not the same as on your previous machine. You can either edit today.ini to match, or change your system date format. Note that there are probably other files with the 'old' date format in as well.

I turned date format into RRRR-MM-DD and now everything is OK. Thank you very much, steve :)
