North Wales Flooding

Post by robynfali »

We got hit big style yesterday with the flooding, the two main routes (A5 & A55) both closed completley, no traffic into north west wales for 10hrs.

Anyone on facebook should be able to view this video

The pictures & video were taken in and around the village of Llanberis, the main high street was devastated by floodwater, with FRT teams going in to rescue people, including a school full of children by boat

Snap in Somerset, 1 dead when car swept away on a ford, major flooding Chew Valley, loads of landslips including one really big one in Bath, railway between Bristol and Exeter closed until Monday, loads of flooded roads (including the lane outside my house), and standing water everywhere as there is nowhere for it to go.

3 inches of rain from Wednesday to Friday and this is what the idiots are doing outside my house Image

More forecast for tomorrow, happy days!!

Nice pics, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the flooding down here in East Devon, which would have been nice. But, I did witness that the river otter (Newton Poppleford's local river) was right up and there was some major flooding due to this but there was also lots of surface water on Sunday the day after a whopping 58.2 mm fell on Saturday 24/11/2012 which is also the highest daily rainfall ever recorded at Newton Poppleford Weather.

Though, I do have some video of the flooding in July 2012.

Reply if you want those links.
