NOAA generation while catching up

I recently switched to Cumulus so actually still in the process of finding out things. I do not seem to be able to find the info I ask here so it may be published somewhere already. Sorry if asking again.

I stop Cumulus around 23hrs and start it up again in the morning. During start-up the catching up to WU is OK and in the meantime the realtime is already send to my site. However when all is stabilized and done and Cumulus is quietly doing it all the NOAA reports have NOT been send to the site.
1) should they be there after startup / catchup?
2) if yes, what do I do wrong?

Do you have 'auto create' and 'auto ftp' set in the NOAA options? If so, the reports should be created at the time it does the daily rollover (i.e. when it processes the data from around midnight) and then uploaded during the next scheduled upload (as indicated in the help). If you are only using 'realtime' and not 'normal' ftp then that would explain what you're seeing. I'm not sure how many people operate that way - but perhaps there should be an option to do the NOAA upload on the next realtime update instead.

Steve, would the NOAA report still be produced if, as Hans wrote, "I stop Cumulus around 23hrs and start it up again in the morning" completely bypassing/missing the daily rollover (i.e. around midnight)? ;)

OK, thanks for the reply. I was not aware - did not spell out the help, sorry - it should be uploaded at the next scheduled upload. This is every 15 minutes in my case so it could be just my impatience. I'll check it again tomorrow morning. I expected it to be uploaded immediately after startup and handling of the data while catchup being done in the background.

This remark of gemini06720 was in the back of my head.
Could you - Steve - confirm it will be generated as expected?
I remember having read a warning Cumulus should not be shut down shortly before midnight to have enough data to be read but I can't reproduce this.

Thanks for the reply.
Oh, and personally I do not need a next realtime NOAA upload, knowing how it works is enough :)

Yes, because Cumulus does the rollover (and everything associated with it) at the appropriate point, when it downloads the logger data.

OK, the reports are generated correctly but were not transferred after startup while the rest of the status was OK.
I checked and the reason why they are not transferred is that the directory on my Server is "Reports" while the copy was made to "reports".
I corrected this and will check again tomorrow and confirm. So it seems no error at all (apart from the mistyping of the path by me).

It all works fine now.
Thanks for the reactions.
