Posting data to Wunderground

Post by daqddyo1 »

Hi,
My data file (dailyfile.txt) seems to be uploaded every 15 m but , I keep getting "error 530" on a semi regular basis. The error message looks like this:
14/11/2012 12:00:15 : FTP Connect Error, Error code = 530
14/11/2012 12:00:45 : FTP Connect Timeout

You can see my settings in the attached screen capture. Can anyone see the error of my ways (and tell me what it is)?

Thx,

Daqddyo1

You can't ftp to WU, that's why you're getting errors. The 'Web site' and 'Web settings' boxes are for your own web site. The only settings you need for WU are in the 'Weather Underground' box, and it looks like your page at WU is updating correctly.

Steve and Bruce,
What you have said makes a lot of sense. I'll try it out after dinner.

Thanks,

John :)
