Welcome back Geoff.
I'm sure you will get the necessary help to set up your new station. The sooner the better, because I always checked what the weather was doing in Rhyl!
I wish I could help, but I'm useless on these matters.
Kindest Regards Kevin

I'm not sure why you need Filezilla - did you delete your web site? I've had a look and you have all the needed files there already. You just need to get Cumulus uploading.
As I am using Cumulus do I still need the weatherlink software on.
You don't need it, but it doesn't do any harm to leave it installed. The only thing you need it for as far as Cumulus is concerned is if you want to change the logging interval in the station (not the same thing as the Cumulus logging interval). I'm working on updating my utility for changing the interval to work with Davis stations, but haven't got there yet.

Hi Steve Sorry Its taken time for me to get back to you I had to go to phisio one of the rair times I get out
as for my own web site I never put my data onto it as there is no ftp tool on my yola I did have my weather
on
www.rhylweather.freeglovine.com but that now is stuck on the 5th november and not changed because
until now there has been no weather station attached. I used freezilla before as that seemed the easy way
to do it to me. I am aware of being able to do it via Internet setting (files) on site option but could never get
the right files on there but I'm sure if I could grasp that I would be ok and not have to bother filezilla if that
is the case. In answer to your original question I lost all original data from past weather and all the setting
I had when my pc crashed, not just Cumulus stuff but thousands of pics I had taken and have had taken
before I ended up in a W/chair and a (bad tempered old git)9
Geoff
(Thanks Steve, Shirley)

Is this not the site you are wanting to use from now on, then? If it is, and you are wanting to use the standard web site supplied with Cumulus, then you don't need filezilla as all the required static files are there already. You just need to put your ftp details into Cumulus to get it uploading again.

and realtime interval 30 sec Pws is also enabled as is weather underground also Wow. and nothing in the files section. from what I can remember and from the few notes I had from Ray that was it.

Hi Geoff,
I hope you don't mind me being cheeky.
When you were having problems earlier this year you gave me your login details. I've just logged in to your glovine server and the reason your web pages are not being updated is because you haven't pointed Cumulus to the correct location.
You need to point it to /public_html. At the moment you're uploading to the folder above that.
So open Cumulus - Configuration - Internet Settings and in Directory enter /public_html. Save and it should then update correctly.

Hi Shirley,
I'm not sure what error -32701 is but you're still uploading to the wrong place.
Here are my settings.
CumulusSettings.jpg
Providing the directory entry is the same as mine it should work. If not then create a diagnostics file for Steve and he should be able to pinpoint the problem.

-32701 is the error the Davis DLL gives when it can't communicate with the console.

So it sounds like the COM port could be wrong.
Geoff, you need to go into Device Manager (right-click on My Computer and choose Manage). Find the Ports section and identify which COM port you have assigned to the Davis VP2. Your entry will look different to mine as I'm running multiple weather programs.
Settings1.jpg
Having identified which COM port you're using enter that into Cumulus Station Settings (top right). On your system it must be the same COM number. Again, mine is different because of my configuration.

Hi Ray I have checked com port and it is on 3 the same as I have it on setting in cumulus also I have got the directory down as /public_html and it is saying it it is doing the uploading but it is not
I am sure all the settings are back were they should be , the davis is sending to cumulus and cumulus says it is uploading so it is a real mystery why it is not.
Geoff
(Not sure but could it be possible that this is a freeglovine.com problem as if I go onto web update it goes to ftp box and does everything it should then logs out.)
Just as I posted It has started sending out thanks All for your help great end to the day.
