Running Cumulus as a service on WHS 2011

Hi,

I am interested to see if others are successfully running Cumulus as a service, this used to work fine on my old WHS v1 system and older version of Cumulus, but I have set this up on my WHS 2011 system and it does not appear to be working as well. I have set-up the service and I am running it as administrator and as using 'Local System Account' did not work at all, when I say did not work, all I have to go on is the FTP files being updated at the correct interval. When set to administrator the realtime.txt file is being updated, but the other *.htm files are not touched. I have also set the cumulus.exe file to be run as administrator.

If anyone has other pointers, I would be grateful.

Regards,

Is it doing the other periodic tasks, such as writing to the log files? Are there any error messages in the diags files?

Hi,

It does not appear to be writing to any files in the Diags folder or the main Cumulus folder accept for realtime.txt

I think that either it's a permissions problem, so it can't write the files, or they're going somewhere else (like they do when installed under program files). But the fact that realtime.txt is being written doesn't really fit with either of those explanations.
