Wireless Remote Anemometer Kit + Vue - Wrong speeds

Post by Supercell »

The Vue Console is reporting figures from my house roof , Cumulus is reporting the winds from the Vue station in the garden i think (far lower?).

I have wireless transmitter for the roof gauge, how can i get cumulus to recognize that?

I am not familiar with the Vue and what extra sensors can be used so may be wrong, but Cumulus through the data logger is connected to the console and that is the only data Cumulus can receive. Cumulus console Extra data screen does not show anything for 'wind'

When you have a Vantage Pro 2 with an anemometer transmitter, you typically still have only one anemometer, even though it's on a different channel. The data protocol between the station and the PC only caters for a single anemometer. I don't know what happens when you use a 'remote' anemometer with a Vue. I would think there would have to be a configuration option in the station to disable the 'internal' anemometer, if it isn't sending the remote anemometer speed by default.

It seems strange that it's chosen to display the remote speed but not send it to the PC.
