Twitter is not updating...

hello all,

just updated to the latest beta version 1.9.3 build 1051,
deleted OauthToken & OauthTokenSecret lines from Cumulus.ini file,
revoked access to the cumulus application from twitter web page..
changed the settings to update every 5'.

when i start Cumulus again,
i see on twitter page:

Approved: Saturday, October 27, 2012 5:40:04 p.m.

in diags\cumulus.009 is written:
27/10/2012 20:40:05.625 : Twitter update error: HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized

i wait 5', OauthToken & OauthTokenSecret lines are re-written in Cumulus.ini file
another 5' and this is the output of cumulus.009 file:
27/10/2012 21:05:02.684 : Twitter update error: HTTP/1.0 401 Unauthorized

any suggestions ?

The usual reasons for getting a 401 from Twitter are:

1. Incorrect password
2. Wrong date/time/timezone on PC
3. Some kind of issue at Twitter

checked password, is ok
date/time/timezone are ok, timezone in twitter is the same as in the pc (gmt+2)
issue ???

All I can suggest is that you send me your Twitter login details by private message and I can try from here.

Edit: another thought - what message are you using? It may be a problem with the characters.

it was this char "°" who made the damage

removed it and it updates normally...

But I put a fix in build 1051 for the degree symbol; the built-in message uses one. I think I also made sure it worked in twitter.txt files.
