Hi
I have download the newest version and i make some tags, the tag
<#currentwdir> i will see the direction with name N-NNE-NE-ENE-E like console e.t.c
The program cannot read the NNE-ENE-ESE-SSE-SSW-WSW-WNW-NNW e.t.c only read the N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW
There is possibility the solved this error ?
Thank you
Edit: I tried this tag <#wdir> average 10 minute, and work fine, but i would like to have the Current (latest) wind bearing .

Re: Cumulus wind direction problem with <#currentwdir> tag
Sorry, I don't understand. What do you think the error is? Cumulus doesn't read the output from the web tag. I don't think I've changed the code for that web tag for a long time.ntinos wrote:The program cannot read the NNE-ENE-ESE-SSE-SSW-WSW-WNW-NNW e.t.c only read the N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW

Re: Cumulus wind direction problem with <#currentwdir> tag
Do you mean you are using JavaScript to 'decode' ?The program cannot read the NNE-ENE-ESE-SSE-SSW-WSW-WNW-NNW e.t.c only read the N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW
If so, current direction can only be resolved to what your wx kit gives out - although average could give a figure in the middle.

I mean if my console show wind NNE or ENE e.t.c with this tag <#currentwdir> do not can see ,and output show nothing.Work fine only if my console it show N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW
With this tag <#wdir> can read example everything wind bearing, but it is average.

No java script ,i make php script, for this reason i make the script with tags, and only this <#currentwdir> do not have correlation with console at all bearing.beteljuice wrote:Do you mean you are using JavaScript to 'decode' ?The program cannot read the NNE-ENE-ESE-SSE-SSW-WSW-WNW-NNW e.t.c only read the N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW

Re: Cumulus wind direction problem with <#currentwdir> tag
Oh, I see. I can't think how that would happen. All it does is take the current wind bearing (as shown on the Cumulus main screen and in the <#bearing> web tag, and convert it to a compass point. It does the same thing for the average direction. Let me do some tests...ntinos wrote:I mean if my console show wind NNE or ENE e.t.c with this tag <#currentwdir> do not can see ,and output show nothing.Work fine only if my console it show N-NE-E-SE-S-SW-W-NW

Re: Cumulus wind direction problem with <#currentwdir> tag
It's working fine for me:
There's nothing in the code that could stop it working for the intermediate compass positions, it just converts the bearing to a number from 0 to 15 and then indexes an array. I'm afraid I have no idea why it doesn't work for you. Are you using a strings.ini file? Can you attach your file with the web tag in it?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You don't need to use a strings.ini file, only if you want to change the text. But if that has apparently fixed it for you, that's fine, even if I don't really understand how.ntinos wrote:Sorry my mistake i do not used a strings.ini file
