[Closed] build 1051 - standard file option

Post by mimo57 »

Hello,

I just installed the beta version of Cumulus and get my site in PHP.
So I no longer need CUMULUS manages files included * standards .htm :)
I unchecked the checkbox in the preferences, but there are always two. * Htm who upload on the site: monthlyrecord.htm and thisyear.htm :(
Probably a reason, but how to do that are upload more? :?

Similarly, I delete all. Htm file "web" program CUMULUS but they reappear at each upload. :bash:

Why do CUMULUS ignore, this would free up system resources old PC like mine.

PS: they have size 0 bytes

Yves

If you 'untick' "Include Standard Files" it shouldn't upload any of the supplied 'standard' files. Are you saying that it does? I'll look at the code.

I've tried unticking "Include standard files", and it didn't upload any of the standard files, including the two new ones.

Hello,

yes, if I uncheck the checkbox "Include files standard" Cumulus generates 9 files "xxx.htm" with 0 bytes. :(
And 9 files in these, 2 were transferred to the website. But after stopping application restart, they (2 files) are not transferred.
But 9 are always generated. :bash:

I deleted the file cumulus.ini, thinking it was defective, but it is the same problem. With the box "Include standard file" unchecked, the files are always created in the folder "WEB" cumulus.

Fortunately the files are still created in cumulus web folder as everyone does what he wants with this files!

Yves, I do not understand why this bothers you :o

It is not a matter of embarrassment, even though I like things to be done as they should. ;)

1) I no longer exploits the management functionality cumulus default file, so if I disable this option, it should no longer be generated.
I think this is more than an error in the code, so I back the info for it to be corrected if this is the case. :ugeek:

2) it troubles me to see these files that are not clutter the folder "WEB" :?

3) My portable PC is very old, so I can save system resources when processing data, it probably avoid all the crashes I have with.

Yes; if you read the help, you'll see that's the way it works. They are created but not uploaded.

If you delete the templates, then zero byte files will be created; this takes minimal resources. I'm sorry that you find this so offensive. I'm sorry that Cumulus crashes so much for you. No doubt you could do better yourself.

Ok, thanks for the response Steve.

If it is a normal operation of Cumulus, then there are no worries.
Glad to know. I would do with it.

No, I'm not so talented it to develop a software like this. But I can test / appreciate to advance the project.
