Spare parts

The wind blew my WH1081 over and the 'thing' that goes round for wind speed got broken. Can I get a spare from anywhere or do I have to bite the bullet and buy a new weather station? If that's the case, any suggestions for a cheap & cheerful one?

You can get a new thing that goes round for wind speed from Clas Ohlson:
http://www.clasohlson.com/uk/Weather-St ... r363242000 (click on the 'spare parts' tab).
Or possibly a bit cheaper from Waters & Stanton:

Hi,
Have you actually checked the store's stock? I suspect that it may be one of their items which
in practice is only available by mail order (but it still looks a very reasonable price even if you have to pay shipping).
Alternatively, it might be repairable with a little glue and perhaps a ping-pong ball.
Cheers, Alan.

I have just seen it is indeed mail order only, and I have ordered two - after all the original one got broke!

I instantly thought of this...the way this question was framed.
I wonder if they have parts for the machine that goes PING?

The package from Maplins arrived a little while ago and my anemometer (looked up the correct word) should be working again.
