Cumulus Locks Whilst Downloading Data

This morning I have started to have a problem when launching Cumulus. I have been using version 1.9.2 (build 1032) but I also tried to instal v1.9.3. (Build 1051) with the same result.

I launch Cumulus and at the point where data is downloaded the program seems to lock. Sometimes there is an error lamp flashing (although I cannot click on the lamp to see what the error might be) and sometimes nothing. Clicking anywhere within the program window just generates a Windows error sound.

Before I completely uninstall the program, is there any insight that anyone might be able to offer?

I'm using a Watson W8681-SOLAR weather station.

Your station has stopped responding to requests for data; the problem sometimes referred to as the 'USB hang' problem. See many other threads in the forum about this, in particular this one: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=7150

You will need to reset the station (remove the batteries and the USB cable).
