Here's my last tweet before they turned off the old endpoint, using the standard built-in message:

Is there anything users can do? Or is it just a case of waiting for an update?

Great software steve appreiciate all the effort that goes into it.

You'll have to wait for an update. I'm still waiting to hear from the Twitter devs about the degree symbol issue.

I guess you could put the Twitter URL (and maybe some other Twitter config stuff) in cumulus.ini, it would cut down on the amount of work for you when the API next changes. But I'm probably trying to teach Granny to suck eggs here.... :-)

Perhaps, but the point is that the change of endpoint is because the API itself has changed, so the code in Cumulus will probably have to change anyway (as appears to be the case this time).

OK, I cannot confirm the problem recently, because having the issue with degrees symbol 2-3 months ago, I did remove it from twitter keeping only ie 20C (without degrees)...

I don't use degree or any other symbols in the tweets but it's also stuck , well I wait for an update as my 438 followers do ;)

Yes. The problem is that the endpoint that Cumulus was using has been turned off. So it doesn't matter what your message contains. The degree symbol issue is with the 'version 1' endpoint that I have had to switch to.

I haven't released an update yet, please be patient. Please remember that I do have a full-time paid job as well.

I'm testing the changes. I have temporarily removed the degree symbol from the built-in message. I will upload this build later today if no problems arise.

I'm sure I'm not alone in appreciating your efforts in maintaining and updating Cumulus. Thank you.

Steve,
We appreciate your great Cumulus work!
Hopefully the update will be in the version 1.9.2,
otherwise all users that did not switch to Beta 1.9.3 will have another ...adventure.
Thanks again
George

There won't be a fix for 1.9.2.

How can I get the Beta version? I have been using the 1.9.2 version since June and I would like to test and hopefully get the twitter function back again.. :)
