I recently installed beta 1047. Tonight I happened to notice that all web tags related to Davis "packet" information, ie., total packets received, total packets missed, etc. are all showing '0'. This had been previously work as I was displaying these values on a Status page on my website. Did something change in beta 1047 to cause these values to not be captured?
My VP2 console is communicating properly with my remote ISS, so I know there should be packet info available.
Thanks very much.
Steve

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Packet Information
Which build were you using before 1047? I changed it in one of the builds so that it only reads the reception stats every 15 minutes, to minimise the loss of real data. It's possible I introduced a bug doing that. I'll check mine later today.

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Packet Information
It seems to be working for me:
If you turn on the debug log, it should show an attempt to read the stats every 15 minutes, i.e. at hh:00, hh:15, hh:30 and hh:45, and if successful it should show the stats in the debug log. If it gets an error back from the Davis DLL, it doesn't show the stats, and it doesn't currently show the error code, but the error is likely to be the generic -32701 anyway. If you're getting an error, then I'm afraid I have no way of finding out what the problem is.

Re: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Packet Information
Steve,
Now this is quite strange. I restarted Cumulus last night after posting my question. I just rechecked my stats a few minutes ago and see this:
$DavisTotalPacketsReceived = "359"; // Total number of data packets received
$DavisTotalPacketsMissed = "1"; // Number of missed data packets
$DavisNumberOfResynchs = "0"; // Number of times the console resynchronised with the transmitter
$DavisMaxInARow = "342"; // Longest streak of consecutive packets received
$DavisNumCRCerrors = "1"; // Number of packets received with CRC errors
$DavisFirmwareVersion = "1.80";// The console firmware version
So, it seems to be working correctly again. Maybe the restart was all it needed.
Thanks for responding.
