I'm sure this has been discussed before but I cannot find the thread...

Does the background image have to be exactly 618x538? If not, what are the repercussions?

Does the file have to be uploaded to the /weather/images folder and renamed to picture.jpg?

Or, can I upload the picture to another folder and simply modify weatherstyle.css and point "background-image: url(images/picture.jpg);" to another folder?

I'm running into issues with this so any insight and guidance is appreciated.

Any size you like, the only repercussions being the presentation on your page and user download time.

Either method is valid

Does the image file get uploaded each time?

No - It's a one off upload.
