Vantage Vue with a sense of humour!

Post by Meteosat »

Only had the station for a couple of weeks but laughed out loud to see the console flash the message:
ITS RAINING CATS N DOGS.
Nice to see it has a sense of humour - can't wait for -10C and snow!
Cheers

There's a list of the messages here: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=4140

I don't know whether the Vue has others in addition to those.

Thanks Steve - I'll look out for some of these others - looks like it doesn't regard cold as an area for humour, but wind and rain yes!

Many years ago there was a big explosion at the Datsun car plant. Pieces of cars were thrown into the air over a wide area.

It's rumoured people were heard shouting "It's raining Datsun cogs" but personally I don't believe it! ;)
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

The old ones are definitely the best ones!! ;-))

We've been at the centre of the low for the past few hours and the cats and dogs are right miserable!

I tried hacking the Davis firmware to give some "fruitier" comments, but I am struggling with the checksums, I'll give it another go when i have more time on my hands...

Yes, I see the "HOLD ONTO YOUR HAT" message quite often when it gets really windy up here.
