FTP Connect Error '426'

Post by avoorpool »

Hi Steve,

Although I know it probably has nothing to do with Cumulus, I still would like your opinion.
I'm uploading to iPage webserver for 2 month. No issue, never.
Until last week Wednesday.
Intermittendly, I have a FTP connect error: 426. Error light flashes on Cumulus Main, and of course it displays the error on my website.
When in case the error occurs the data is not uploaded, it simply does it after 10 minutes again!!
I contacted iPage and they are investigating.
Excpet for downloading Cumulus 1.9.3 - Build 1047, there are absolutely no changes from this side.
IPage asked me what protocol is used for my FTP upload??
Fact is that when I use FileZilla for manual upload, the FTP connection-time sometimes is very slow.
Any ideas??
Should I switch to Active FTP until I have an answer from iPage??
What's Cumulus' FTP protocol??

Thanks,

Arthur

Their question doesn't make sense. Cumulus uses FTP for FTP. FTP is File Transfer Protocol, so FTP is the protocol. I don't think switching to Active mode will help in this case.
