I got that email today....do I....or don't I...... :?

Also, what is the difference between that one, and the one they are currently selling with a £70 saving for £59.99 here: http://www.maplin.co.uk/usb-touchscreen ... ter-228825

Is one with the time update over air, and one without?

Hi,

No, AFAIK neither have a Radio Controlled Clock. The difference might be no more than the colour of the console. The wireless frequency is probably 434 MHz but the protocol might not be compatible with earlier Maplin offerings.

The Clas Ohlson does have a RCC and 868 MHz wireless frequency. However, I believe C O charge for delivery, whilst you might be able to use a Maplin "voucher" to save another £3.

Cheers, Alan.

Well, I bought one.....and as you said it's not just the colour that's different, but it can't pick up a signal despite being on the same frequency. So sorting my weather station out is going to take abit longer than I hoped. Will have to use the new transmitter with the new console. But hopefully I can use the old rain gauge and wind speed/direction apparatus
