Dataset problem in build 1047

Post by Bjorn »

Hi,

I'm a Cumulus newbie just started by using the Beta version since it supports external sensors.
I have no previous data records stored as logfiles and receive the exception
RecentData: Cannot perform this operation on an empty dataset.
after executing the program for roughly 30 min.

Is this problem related to the creation of the first data logfile?
There are no ExtraLogyyyymm.txt files created.

Are all of the sensors on your station working? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll see if I can see anything. And I'll stop Cumulus crashing in this situation; it's nothing to do with the data logs, it's the internal data structure that gets added to once a minute for the 'recent data' web tags, and it is apparently empty after 20 minutes, hence my first question.

Hi Steve,

I have connected two external sensors and one indoor sensor for temp/humidity and they seem to present and update the correct information in the Cumulus GUI.

It looks like Cumulus isn't logging anything at all, so I suspect that you don't have at least a main outside temperature sensor and a pressure sensor, is that correct? See http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#Cumulu ... eb_uploads

Yes, you're correct. I have not yet mounted the outside temperature sensor and could not see any obvious reason for the check of limited functionality. For me the logging of the external sensors are of most value. I'll make the proper changes to the Cumulus.ini file and I'm sorry for bothering you with this trivial issue, I should have read it in the FAQ.

Thanks, for swift reply
