edeting data files

Post by juliang »

model WH-1080

half way through Aug the rain gaged stopped working. On 3/9 I cleared the holes and poured water in to test. That resulted in a false rainfall reading of 90.4mm

I am now trying to edit the data files to remove this false reading. I have found and removed lots of relevent readings but Cumulus continues to display the false entry in "Graphs" and it is recorded in Cumulus's monthly and year totals.

Any ideas?

Hi juliang,

If I'm not mistaken, you need to edit the dayfile.txt file. Be sure your new value includes the leading zero.

For example 0.79 not .79

Cumulus will need to be shut down and restarted for new values to post.

It just worked for me.

Good luck.

Regards
Tim

Yes, Tim's quite right, the rain totals are in dayfile.txt.
