Incorrect 'Yesterday and 'Today's' Data

Post by hamhamsafari »

Hello

I wonder if anyone can help please!!

I've had my weather station up and running now for 5 days and once over the initial errors, signal loss, ftp-ing etc it has been performing steadily with Cumulus. However, since today it has been displaying incorrect data, an example being that it says Highest Gust Today as 14.9mph at 17:45 when it was 08:00 in the morning!!!

I have tried restarting Cumulus and it still shows the incorrect data. It has also decided for some reason not to log yesterday's data and in the dayfile.txt it only shows data until 29/08/12 even though it was happily recording all day yesterday!!

Any idea what could be wrong?

It hasn't done the end of day rollover. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

30/08/2012 21:02:54.600 : Windows SUSPEND broadcast received
31/08/2012 07:37:28.527 : Error!!! Failed to write to USB!

You can't allow your PC to suspend while Cumulus is running.

Ahh! I had no idea, sorry. Thanks for looking at that. I had just purchased another laptop battery and the laptop automatically went into Suspend when the battery went flat.

Is there any way I can get yesterdays data back and everything working as normal?

When Cumulus started at 19:34, yesterday, it saved a set of files corresponding to the state at that time:

30/08/2012 19:34:28.862 : Creating backup folder C:\Cumulus\backup\20120830193428\

If you stop Cumulus and copy the files from that folder into the data folder, overwriting the ones that are there, then start it up again, it will carry on from that point using the data in the station's logger, and will do the rollover at the appropriate point.
