Cumulus Support

I had noticed that one of the daily rainfall totals was wrong in Feb.

I have edited the "dayfile" and the "Feb09log" data files to correct the error (using MS Excel).
I also updated the "All Time Records" to match the new data.

Cumulus now displays the correct info on the Daily Rain graph.

The problem I have is that the Rainfall info on the Front Panel shows 0.00 for both the monthly & yearly totals. How can I correct this problem?

There must be a problem with your dayfile.txt as a result of editing it in Excel; a blank line or some garbage somewhere.

I have a similar dilemma - yesterday 20.2 mm of rain suddenly appeared, even though there was no rain at all. I edited dayfile.txt and Mar09log.txt in Excel to remove the rainfall amount, but now on the Front Panel, yesterday's 20.2 mm is still showing, but the monthly and yearly totals are 0. Viewing the two files, I don't see any incorrect or blank entries. What did I do wrong?

Yesterday's figures on the main screen come from yesterday.ini, so you could edit that if you want. The 'yesterday' figures are just transient, they don't get stored anywhere and disappear for ever when the next day comes.

If you want to send me your dayfile.txt I'll have a look to see if I can spot the problem. I'm not sure using Excel to edit dayfile.txt is a good idea; there's a good free CSV editor that has been mentioned here a few times, but I've forgotten its name!
