Hi
Got an issue with FTP to the my website.

Upload can be ok for 24 hours or more but not days on end, then suddenly I get the following error in the FTP log:

00:36:57:765 01006F10 TCustomWSocket.Shutdown 1 904
00:38:42:234 ! HighLevelAsync 0
00:38:42:234 TWSocket will connect to 195.41.53.186:21
00:38:42:234 01006F10 TriggerDataSent 776
00:38:42:375 >|220 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx FTP server (Version wu-20011128-jc(1) Thu Nov 29 15:37:13 MET 2001) ready.|

00:38:42:375 ! HighLevelAsync 0
00:38:42:375 01006F10 TriggerDataSent 776
00:38:42:531 >|331 Password required for xxxxxx.|

00:38:42:531 ! HighLevelAsync 0
00:38:42:531 01006F10 TriggerDataSent 776
00:38:42:562 >|530 Login incorrect.|

It is the same error every time. :?

The programme is running on a MS Home server (HP software) and is running from an account created round the back door with Remote Desktop. So it appears to be on the Desk Top of the server all the time when you connect to the server via Remote Desktop. The programme keeps reading date a from the 1080 type weather station even when FTP has stopped. Only other thing in the link is a very ordinary router. There is no error in the log files on the server. So I am a little puzzled. :)

Hard to say what the problem is, as Cumulus will be sending the same login details every time, so why does it suddenly get rejected? Can you log the login attempts on the ftp server? On the face of it, it looks like a problem at your ISP.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the reply. :)
I am unable to log the FTP server, it is just a 10mb space they give you when you sign up to make you own more or less private web page as it does not shown on the net. I have another pc that uploads to the root directory. Maybe there is a problem with 2 FTP connections at the same time but you would have thought it would have given a log entry "access denied" of "another user accessing" etc. I have no control of the other programmes upload times, for interest you can look at both programmes here:

http://home20.inet.tele.dk/baekgaarden/weather/

You will also notice that some of the gauges do not show correctly.

Yes, that's a possibility.

Which ones? They look OK to me.

Seems I have to put IE 8 in compatibility mode to get the gauges working correctly...... just thought of that and seems to work ok.

Right have to some work, thanks for your repies and ideas & help
