A couple of questions

Post by JaredR »

Hell,

First of all, how do I get http://www.wheelocknet.net/cumulus/gauges.html?gb the gauges found at that website?

Secondly, can I update the realtime gauges at a different interval than the rest of the cumulus pages?

Thank you for your help.

On the announcements thread on this forum.

Yes, you can upload the realtimegauges.txt file at your realtime interval set in Cumulus, then set the page to refresh at the same interval.

I saw the demo gauges on the announcements page. I am still having trouble getting the exact configuration as the website I linked to. How do change the configuration? gauges.js?

What is the line of code in guages.js to change the page load time?

Thanks for your help!

Lots of people customise their gauges page, you would have to ask them if they are willing to share those customisations.

var g_count = 60; //download data counter (secs, default 60)

Mark,

I thought that may be the case (with the customization).

Thanks for the heads up on the code.

Hello again,

Do I need to upload Cumulusrealtime.xml in the files tab in order for the gaguges/forecast to work?

I have changed the refresh setting in the gauges.js and it is still defaulting to every 60 seconds.

It's "realtimegauges.txt", but yes it needs adding to the files tab.

I do not understand why, that variable is what controls the Ajax update interval. Do you maybe have an old copy of the script stuck in your browser cache?
