Hi,
It's been a steep learning curve, but I've got Cumulus up and running, ftping to my site, and it has been quite reliable. I am amazed at the potential of this software.
I am using the latest version of the Steel Series Gauges.
I'm not quite sure if my "forecast" is working. For a couple days now, it has said Excellent weather, stormy, much precipitation.
It is not scrolling either. Any ideas where to look, or how to confirm whether or not it is working?
Thank you.
Jared

Assuming Cumulus is displaying the same, see http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/FAQ#My_for ... itation.22JaredR wrote:I'm not quite sure if my "forecast" is working. For a couple days now, it has said Excellent weather, stormy, much precipitation.

Re: Forecast not working?
Are sure it doesn't say Extreme or Exceptional weather ?Excellent weather, stormy, much precipitation.
It still means your weather range checks are 'out of bounds' for some some reason, but if it says "Excellent weather, stormy, much precipitation" then there is a logic fault with the stainless steel code.

SS gauges don't do any decoding, they just use the supplied string.beteljuice wrote:... but if it says "Excellent weather, stormy, much precipitation" then there is a logic fault with the stainless steel code.

Re: Forecast not working?
My bad, it does sat exceptional.
And I also have the extremes set wrong.
What should the values be (for in)?
Thanks guys!

Re: Forecast not working?
If you mean the 'range' is mb / hPa but you have checked the "in" box for the forecast, just tick the other box instead. The forecast pressure units are not associated with the rest of Cumulus. (as it says in the link Steve posted)And I also have the extremes set wrong.
@ Mark - sorry !

Re: Forecast not working?
I had the "in" radio button ticked, but the range was entered as 950-1050, or something along those lines.
I have adjusted the range to 28.5 to 31.5.
I still have the same thing showing up "Exceptional weather...etc" and it is not scrolling.
Should it be scrolling?
Thank you,
Jared
