No webupdate after changing PC
Hi folks,
Have had a lot of problems with my PC probably due to temperature problems so I decided to change PC.
Old PC was running W2K and the new is running XP, copied all files from old to new (installed Cumulus first) and all is well that is I get data updated on WU
but not on my web.

What could be wrong?

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
Turn on ftp logging and see if the ftplog.txt file has any error messages in it.

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
FTP log is on but there is no such file to be found on the disk! Where should it be found?

In the Cumulus folder.
Are you sure your settings look OK on the internet setting screen? What happens if you do a manual web update from the File menu?

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
No ftplog.txt can be found on the PC.
Using external WinSCP with script so I wonder if there can be any ftplog file? All has been working just fine until tonight when I changed PC, copied every file from old to new PC. Is there any hidden files that is missing? I can very well see network traffic as Cumulus updates WU.
Nothing happens when doing Update from menu.

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
So you're not actually using Cumulus ftp at all? All of your ftp is done by running WinSCP from Cumulus?

Not using Cumulus FTP, via WinSCP+script that has been working without hickups since day one.

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
In that case, either the command that you've specified to be run by Cumulus is not valid, or something is preventing Cumulus running the command. If you look in the diags file(s) there may be an error message from executing the command.
You have Cumulus set to create the web files, yes? Perhaps you could show a screen shot of your internet settings screen?

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
It may be as simple as that there is something new with WinSCP and host key as I have changed PC, will investigate with my son as he is running the server and see what is cooking and come back when I know more.

Re: No webupdate after changing PC
Problem solved, had just to accept new key this is obviously something I missed to do when I tested WinSCP manually.
So all tings looks like they are up and running except the rain gauge, time to climb up and see what is cooking.
