I noticed the green light was flashing today and had a look at what record I had broken ?
Highest Daily temp range 19.9c 13th August ?
Max was 21c, Min 13c ( Met o data)
Looking at my daily file converted into a spreadsheet Column E is zero, Column I is zero plus a few other zeros across the page.
Now - my PC was switched for an hour or so while a new power pack was installed either side of 10am on the 13th, is this the reason for the error if so, what is the best way to re-instate the data, strange that I noticed a new record, everything else looked ok when I rebooted
tks
(hope all that makes sense)

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I may be able to see what went wrong. If I understand you correctly, your dayfile.txt entry for that day is garbage (with zeroes)? If you delete it, you can use the dayfile.txt editor to recreate it from the August log file - but this assumes the data in there is OK...
For the all-time record, if you look in the alltimelog.txt file, it will show what and when the previous record was (it'll be the last entry in there), and you can use the all-time editor to put it back.

Re: New Records - Highest Daily Temp Range, error
The problem was that when Cumulus asked the station for the logger data to catch up between 06:45, when Cumulus stopped, and 10:52, when it started again, the station said there was no logger data, so Cumulus just did the 10:00 rollover for the 12th and started a new day. This meant it had no real data to initialise the data for the 13th, hence the zeroes. You use Virtual VP, yes? This was one of the problems that I found with it, that it sometimes said there was no logger data when there should be. There was something that the Davis DLL did that it didn't like, and there's apparently no fix.
