Installation instructions?
Sorry to be a pain and I'm sure I'm missing something.
Where are the installation instructions for the SteelSeries gauges for Cumulus?
I have downloaded the ZIP file containing the files but this does not contain any instructions.
Thank you in advance!
Andy.

Re: Installation instructions?
Ah, yes!! I opened that (in notepad, silly me) and it wasn't formatted. Opened it in another program and it is now in a readable format!!
Thank you and sorry for being a plank!

Re: Installation instructions?
Hope you don't mind me posting this but I have the gauges installed on my website and they work fine when I view them (windows 7 with IE9), but when I click on your gauges link in the menu it tells me that that my browser doesn't support HTML5 Canvas. This is not correct as IE9 does support HTML5 canvas as my site proves, so I think something is still incorrect
I think you have another problem as the redirect from this error message is then not finding gauges.htm. I think that is because your gauges page is running one directory down in /weather/gauges and it redirects in that directory when gauges.htm is probably in /weather not /weather/gauges.

Re: Installation instructions?
I think it is because he has an incorrect DOCTYPE declaration on his page which is forcing IE9 into 'quirks mode'.
If there is a comment before the DOCTYPE declaration IE always falls back into quirks mode.
So the comment:
<!-- DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 3.2 //EN" -->
Should be:
<!DOCTYPE html>

Re: Installation instructions?
Thank you Mark and David for your time and contribution.
I have changed the index.php for the gauges page to <!DOCTYPE html> as suggested.
Can you see whether this solves the problem with you.
Regards
Andy.

Re: Installation instructions?
Hello all, Noobie needs some help in lay men's terms!
Tried to follow the read me file and got myself in a right pickle!
I'm currently using xampp on an old laptop to run my weather web internally and thanks to Steve got that bit working great however I'm having problems getting my head arround these gauges as I really like to view them on my Ipad.
My web is based on the webfiles in culumus and in reading the readme file it seems that I have to place files in the "web" file of culumus. I've tried that and as you would expect nothing updated.
So do I have to rebuild web using the file located in web folder and start again with the steel gauges ??

Re: Installation instructions?
You also have to add the realtimegaugesT.txt to the Cumulus upload and get it to Process it, by ticking the box and giving it a remote filename of realtimegauges.txt. You should also tick Realtime? and FTP?
