Is there any guidance available re moving Cumulus to a new PC and, at the same, time keep the existing data, configuration files etc.

Welcome to the Cumulus Support forum.
Latest Cumulus MX V4 release 4.0.1 (build 4023) - 16 May 2024
(Note that 4.1.0 (build 4024) - 05 June 2024 remains available, but usage of this version is not recommended - particularly for Davis stations - and the included utility in this distribution for migrating to v4 is known to contain errors affecting conversion of dayfile.txt)
Latest Cumulus MX V3 release 3.28.6 (build 3283) - 21 March 2024
Legacy Cumulus 1 release 1.9.4 (build 1099) - 28 November 2014
(a patch is available for 1.9.4 build 1099 that extends the date range of drop-down menus to 2030)

Re: Got a new PC and planning to move Cumulus...
I just moved my cumulus set-up to a new computer.
All I did was copy the cumulus folder and all its contents to a memory stick.
Then I copied the folder and all its contents from the memory stick to the required destination on the new computer.
Cumulus works perfectly from the new location and the move was a lot simpler and quicker than the method at http://wiki.sandaysoft.com/a/Moving_cumulus
Have I missed some subtle point which will come back and bite me later ?

Just copying the entire folder hierarchy works fine, if you know what you're doing. Not running the installer means that you don't get a shortcut created, and there's no install information created in Windows, so any future upgrades wouldn't know where your existing installation was.

Setting up the new PC has been rather slower than I planned so have only just returned for the answer... Many thanks to all.
