Stuck on "Downloading Data"

I recently had an issue with my Ambient WS-1090, where it stopped receiving data from the outside measurement equipment. I ultimately had to reset it, but it then both the station and Cumulus seemed to be working again for about a day.

Today, the station itself seems to be working but Cumulus isn't. It gets stuck on "Downloading Data" when it launches and never finishes. I tried installing the latest version (1.9.2) but no difference.

The station is connected by USB. When that's unplugged, Cumulus correctly flashes the Error light. When it's plugged in, it gets stuck on Downloading Data.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,

Diane

If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I may be able to see what the problem is. But I suspect it's the usual Fine Offset problem where the station just isn't responding, and you'll need to reset it.

Thanks -- I reset it again yesterday afternoon and that seemed to work.

Is there a way to get the history back after a reset? Right after the reset, it was showing no history at all. This morning, it seems to have some history back, but I'm not confident it's correct since the rainfall totals are lower than I know they were (but higher than just what's accumulated in the past day and a half.) Any insights into what might be going on there and how I can retrieve/adjust history files?

Thanks again.

Diane

Unfortunately, resetting the console normally causes the logger data to be lost, so there will be a gap in the data between Cumulus closing and starting up again. The overall rain totals (monthly and annual) should be correct, because the rain counter is held in the transmitter. Daily figures may be incorrect depending on how long the gap was between Cumulus closing and starting again - i.e. whether or not an end of day rollover was missed. There's no easy way to correct this when there's no logger data available.
