Cumulus Support

Hi Steve,

I'm playing on new icons library, for new templates and I have a clue!

If Cumulus forecasts are "now + 12h", at 5pm I have to display a night icon!
If short-term at which hour do I have to put night icon (if night = 8pm)?

Could you please light up my lantern??

I think it's supposed to be a forecast for the next 12 hours, but I don't know for certain.

Hi Steve,

Just to jump into this (since I've had some comments from site visitors about it), HOW can we incorporate the actual time-of-day when displaying the forecast image.
Currently it shows a bright sunny image at 23:00 while the next 12 hours (or a little less) it's pitch dark outside (moon image!!).
We have the tag <#isdaylight>, so is there a way to show the forecast image conform this tag (at least between sunset & sunrise)...??

But here (and in other places) they say "12 hours".

The forecast has no knowledge of the rate of change of conditions, thus it can vary between a 'nowcast' or 'most likely within 24hrs'. Just like any other forecast mechanism it may be subject to change as and when there are any changes in 'trends'.

I did a post a long time ago on the possibility / capability of producing day / night variants. However; as stated when does the forecast become a reality (https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... aylight%3E)

I suppose for a more 'true' eye-candy instead of using <#isdaylight>, you could use some javascript to check eg. report time versus sunrise -4 and sunset -4.
