More Lost outside Temp Sensor

Post by ScottVan »

I'm suffering through a pattern of just about every other day I lose my outside temp sensor and the data goes flatline. All other sensors and data are fine. Restart Cumulus - all ok.

I put new lithium batts in the transmitter. Heck, I even have the WWV signal lock on almost all the time too. I ran months at a time with no loss all through the winter (upstate NY!).

Over a year old - WS 1080 (USA freq).

Any ideas?

Thanks
Scott

Are you getting the 'sensor contact lost' message from Cumulus, with the flashing red error light? It sounds like you're not, as that wouldn't just affect temperature. Are you using a 'spike removal' setting for temperature? If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

There have been later builds of 1.9.2 released since 1017; it would be a good idea to install the latest, as it has a number of bug fixes.

Steve,

It did it again. I wonder...I have all of my data in one folder for over a year. Should I archive it or move it out of where it is? The folder is 180 mb right now.

Diags attached if that will help.

You missed my question about spike removal. You've set it, and you've set it to only one degree, so it's quite likely to trigger. A change of one degree is not a spike!

7/27/2012 19:34:50.421 : Temp difference greater than specified; reading ignored
7/27/2012 19:34:50.421 : Old value = 25.8 New value = 24.7 EWtempdiff = 1.0

Uggg, what a blockhead! I set it back to 3 to see how that works. Sorry to miss that obvious issue and thanks for catching it.
