Manual Log Rollover Time

Post by KJ4KTW »

Is it possible to manually set the logs to rollover at a time other than midnight or 0900? I see several settings that can be toyed with in the configuration files as opposed to the interface within the program. The reason I ask, is due to my CoCoRaHs input it would be much easier for my log keeping if I could rollover my logs at 0700 or 0600.

You can't just edit cumulus.ini and set any particular hour for RolloverHour, unfortunately. It probably would do the rollover at the time you set, but Cumulus as a whole wouldn't work properly as there are lots of places in the code where it assumes that if the rollover time isn't midnight, then it is 0900/1000.

There is an existing enhancement request for a more configurable rollover time, and at some point I do hope to look at doing it.
