8681 stops working when it rains
My Watson 8681 stops working when it rains even misty rain, it seems to return to normal when the rain goes off. It does have the solar charger so I wondered if it was a problem between the rain gauge and solar charger, as the rain gauge is connected thru that causing the transmitter to shut down. I havn't done any diagnostics yet as it's raining as usual here, (in Ayrshire) does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be.

Re: 8681 stops working when it rains
Hi,
Water in the cable/connectors can be an issue, but in view of other people's very similar problems, try unplugging the solar pod from the transmitter and plugging the rain cable directly into the transmitter (if accessible) for a few days.
Cheers, Alan.
