If you are trying to set this up to stream from a dynamic IP address this is not going to work either.

Currently sating Off Air and Channel is Off Air.

Best way is to forget the IP as your ISP allocates dynamic IP numbers. Just upload a photo every 2 minutes using Cumulus as I said in my post on your other topic.

By the way having 3 Topics open all about the same issue is a bit confusing, we don't know which one to answer on !!

If you are streaming live to Ustream, what kind of IP that you have (static or dynamic) is irrelevant. The video stream to viewers comes from Ustream's servers. I could explain in far more detail, but all you need to know is that once you hit the broadcast button on Ustream you are live in the player (with a small delay of course).

I think perhaps you are looking at his link to the software as that is definitely broken, not either http://www.rhylweather.yolasite.com or http://rhylweather.freeglovine.com but quite why the site is hosted on two servers I am not at all sure!!

And the local taxi advert takes up a lot of space!!

Geoff,

If I could make a suggestion which I hope you won't take offence at.

You have invested in a top quality Davis VP2 weather station but your website links are a bit of a mismash. The link to the taxi firm site where your weather information occupies a very small part doesn't look very good at all. Unless people scroll down they won't even realise what you are showing there.

Buying space from a decent webhost for your Cumulus pages and webcam images will cost you a fraction of what you have spent on your VP2. I'm sure many of those that show webcam images would be happy to advise. Here's a webhost which David Jameson (Daj) was looking at and looks to be good value. http://orchardhosting.com/shared-hosting

As I said I hope you don't feel offended. A good website will not only look good but will attract lots of visitors. :)
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

Thank for looking and Ray really, no offence taken I no I can do a lot better I am only using yola at the moment as I am only using webcam host as a temp move as I don't pay for either and as you no I have had problems getting webcam live for long time and this one was no fancy setting almost plug and go, I would love to have more on site and also tidy it up but I just struggle I often look at your site Ray and other sites and wish I could get mine half as tidy but with this I do struggle.
Thank Ray I will look at the link you have post thanks m8.

I would also take a look at www.vidahost.com, the company I use.

Very reliable, and fast servers and more importantly very responsive and pleasant support people. Any problems are usually responded to within 5 minutes, but you usually do not have problems :D .

Their Basic package at £34.80 (inc VAT) for 2 years works out at £1.39 (inc VAT) per month and their Starter Package (the one I use) at £69.60 (inc VAT) for 3 years (buy 2 get the 3rd free) works out at £1.93 (inc VAT) per month.

You can read more here https://www.vidahost.com/web-hosting/overview (excluding VAT prices).

Make sure you check prices on other hosts carefully as a lot of them are excluding VAT prices.
