Cumulus Support

Hi does any other Cumulus users have any knowledge of the status of the FreeGlovine Web Server today - it was playing up yesterday and Cumulus has'nt updated today since 10:15am and I cannot get onto the FreeGlovine or Glovine Web Sites??????

If anyone has any news can they let us Cumulus / Glovine users know? - Thanks

I have the same problem to now. Any know what's up whit glovine and freeglo.net?

JUST TO ADD:

I sent an email to Glovine at Lunchtime (01:00 pm) today which they read at 4:15pm our time but still have not had a response from them yet. The Server keeps coming on & off line throughout the day so I assumme they must be having problems!?

Just an update on Cumulus and FreeGlovine Hosting - My station is still not updating to FreeGlovine, its been over 5 days now that the Host has been down with no explainantion and it looks like Glovine have just abandoned us as they are not responding to any emails to establish the problems. The FreeGlovine Forum is also locked and they are not responding to technical support emails.

Are there any other FreeGlovine / Cumulus Users that still have a FreeGlovine Host connection or others like me that are down - I would like to hear from you?
I dont suppose Steve or any other Cumulus Administrator has any contacts at FreeGlovine that can establish what is happening?

Looks like I may have to purchase a proper Host Website - has anyone got any recommendations, I assume a UK Host would be better, but not too sure what size packakge I will need?!

I'm afraid I don't have any contacts at Glovine as such. I was contacted by them when they were proposing to set up up the free hosting for Cumulus users, I replied but had no further contact from them. The guy who contacted me is called Ryan Hellings, and his email address is ryan@ glovine... etc.

I'm sorry to hear of your problems but if the entire Glovine server was down then this site in North Wales would not be broadcasting and as you can see it is. http://www.rhylweather.freeglovine.com/index.htm

The problem may be down to a potential virus on their site. Visiting it resulted in AVG reporting this. For obvious reasons I won't post their URL.

I have a paid account and have been having intermittant access to the latest data for the last few days. Not getting any response from support. Maybe they have problems with their updates to their DNS servers.

Finally sorted, the domain was not pointing to the up to date nameservers which will caused the website to vary between the old server and the new.

Any know whats wrong whith freeglo now? have been down coople of days now. Any more have problem too?

I had the same problem until the end of last week and I contacted their support email address and got a reply back two days later to say there was nothing wrong with their Servers but funny enough my Glovine Site started working again!!???
So all is well again at he moment .

Yes. Now is working That was strange they say that. I think all freeglo.net sites whas down. I culd not get to any site.

Earlier this week I send a email and now my free Glovine web site along with other free Glovine free web sites is back online. I posted a reply here: https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=9578 Before this it was offline for 10 days ( I did give some time to come back but it didn't) so they may not have been aware of it.
