Re: How best to calibrate
The only 'rule' is don't calibrate, unless you know your readings are wrong and you have a good nearby reference to calibrate against.
The one thing you should do is to set the sea-level pressure on your station. Preferably do this on a day when the pressure is stable, so you can use the pressure reading from a Met Office station and any difference in time or distance doesn't matter. Set your station to read the same. Restart Cumulus if you make any changes to the pressure on your station.

Re: How best to calibrate
Geoff,
I googled find latitude, longitude and altitude and this seems to be the best of the bunch for altitude. http://www.daftlogic.com/sandbox-google ... titude.htm
For latitude and longitude this is more user-friendly as it gives your position in degrees, minutes and seconds for Cumulus. http://www.findlatitudeandlongitude.com/
For both enter your full postal address minus the PC.

Re: How best to calibrate
You've only had 1.2mm according to your website. One brief shower here this afternoon with 0.1". Not bad for our summer.
You're pressure is looking okay now.
