Data Error - Rain/Dry Days

Post by Cambium »

Software suddenly loses connection and gets an error reading. USB is fine and laptop not moved. Happens maybe once every other day and I noticed the fan runs hard on the laptop until I close Cumulus and pull out the USB then the fan quiets down.

More importantly, I just realized the Wet/Dry days is missing. I used to have it. Using Version 1.9.2 Build 1028.

Thanks

Got the Rain/Dry days...Had to download the 1032 build. Other issue not a big deal so no need to reply unless you feel its fixed with the new build or a bigger issue. Thanks

Connection problems with Fine Offset stations are common. But normally this requires a reset of the station to fix, and it's not clear whether you have to do that? If not, then it's most likely a USB problem. But it's hard to say without specific details of the error. If you zip up the diags folder and attach it, I'll take a look.

I did do a restart twice on the console when I had to change the transmitter on roof. I wonder if thats when it started. I change it on Thursday June 28th.

Diags attached. Thanks. No rush

These indicate problems with the USB connection rather than the station itself. Having said that, I am far from an expert with USB, so I don't know to what extent the device itself could be preventing data being written.
