How good are webcam lenses?

If you think all this cloud is bad for weather webcams you should try being an astro-photographer! Frustrating isn't the word for it!

I can sympathise with you Gina because I had a 12" Newtonian reflector when I lived in Norwich 40 years ago. Had to sell it when I moved to the NW.

But when the clouds do part your skies must be quite spectacular.

Yes, we do have pretty clear skies here when the clouds stay away Ray

In fact there were gaps in the clouds last night and I managed to squeeze in a bit of imaging before the clouds covered the sky completely around 1am.
