Saving an Error Log

Very occasionally the "error button" in the status area lights up, and I can read the errors.
Usually they refer to a lost connection and I have not had any in the last 24 hours or so.
However, if I stop and restart cumulus, all the error messages disappear.
It would be useful, I think, if there was a permanent file of such messages.
Is there such a file (which I haven't yet found), or can I configure cumulus to save such errors with a date stamp?

I don't mean debug or ftp logging.

Most (all?) errors that appear in the error window also appear in the diags files (often with more information in the diags files). If you find any where this isn't the case, please let me know and I'll correct it. The diags files are 'semi-permanent' and may not fit exactly what you had in mind. It's likely that I'll replace the error log window with something else at some point; it was a very quick hack in the early days of Cumulus and I've never got around to replacing it.

Got it.

The diag files appear to do what I was looking for (it just needs a bit of weeding-out of the other info).

Thanks.
