Hi, these gauges are really great and after showing them to friends on my site they think I am a master programmer! Appropriate citations are included.
I am having one strange problem though. The mouse over charts show the correct chart when you first go to thes page from any browser or PC. When you return some time later You still get the original chart. I have checked and the jsp points to the right images directory and it finds the right image first time. The text above the charts updates fine and in real time.
It seems like the first chart you look at gets cached and I thought it must be a browser/PC setting but after many browsers & PC's they all show the same behaviour so it must be something I have done wrong.
Lost for things to check, can anybody help?
Thanks

Re: Mouse over charts not updating
Hmm, there is supposed to be some cache busting code in there, the charts only update every 15 minutes by default, but it should create a unique URL each time.
I don't have time to look tonight, but I may have some time tomorrow.

Re: Mouse over charts not updating
Hi Mark
Your post gave me a clue as to what to look for and I have fond the cache busting line though I don't understand it! Whilst working things through though I think the issue is to do with the update timer and the initial update. I also looked at Steve's page and it seems to display the same behavior as mine.
Go to a page and show the Steel graphs. Close browser and when you go back, next day or when ever, you get the cached graph. Leave the browser open for a period that covers both the Steel gauge update and the update of the graph within Cumulus and it updates fine.
So the issue seems to be the initial return to the gauge page which displays the cached graph. I have been trying to work out the logic of what gets reset when you visit a page which I think is part of the "first time" time routine but not got there yet. I am not a programmer in any way! Could it be that when you go to the Gauges page on each browser session the cache busting code is not being run?
Thanks

Re: Mouse over charts not updating
OK, I do not get the problem on my page, but that is running a test version of 1.6.7 so I obviously spotted this and fixed it at some point
The problem is I never released that version as I started work on v2 instead.
I really need to get my finger out and release v2 of the scripts, they are almost there, just some language switching bits to finish off.

Cut and pasted all the bits that looked relative to me from your site but nothing has made any difference. Look forward to v2!
By the way, if your site is based on V2, did you know that if viewed using Firefox the wind run counter from the Wind rose dial ends up at the far to right of the page rather than in the bottom of the dial. Looks fine on every other browser I have tried.

Re: Mouse over charts not updating
I spotted the FF problem the other day, thanks for reminding me I need to fix it - I changed how I overlay the wind rose components on the current page. A CSS problem.
V2 is on a separate test page
