this is nothing to do with weather but to do with fundraising.

sorry its only a uk thing but they might be the same sort of things in other countrys

i am involved with a project called ragbag

collect unwanted textiles and get £500 per ton great for schools so far we have collected close to 7 tons in 2 years towards residential trips for the local primary school oban is not a big town on the west coast of scotland.
they like to get into primary schools to help educate about recycling

this is uk wide so if you want to help reduce landfill and raise money check out http://www.rag-bag.co.uk/

please check it out it could raise you a lot of money

if you want more information about it contact me

just an update

we collected just over 5 tons of textiles over the last year which was over 50% of the cost of this years trip.

i would love to see every primary school in the uk on this and as a small town like oban can collect this amount cant see how this would not help other schools raise funds
